EHunt (formerly EtsyHunt, same company since 2021) says it’s “loved by over 2 million ecommerce sellers worldwide” and gives you deep Etsy research — keyword data, competitor tracking, shop analysis — plus AI tools that rewrite your listing copy and generate mockups and short videos from photos you already have. PromptlessPress generates the design, writes the listing, creates the mockups, and packages everything in a ZIP, starting from nothing. Both use AI for Etsy sellers — but they’re doing different things. Here’s the honest breakdown.
What each tool actually does
EHunt is primarily a research and listing-optimization suite. Its core strength is data: a claimed 71M+ Etsy products, 14M+ tags, 3.4M+ shops and 2.3M+ ads indexed for product research, keyword research, shop research, ad research, niche-finding and competitor tracking. On the AI side it can rewrite listing titles and descriptions, extract and suggest tags, clean up product-photo backgrounds, and — more recently — generate lifestyle mockups and short promotional videos from a product photo you upload. It has a free plan plus paid tiers at $9.99, $19.99 and $59.99/month (roughly half that billed annually), and it’s positioned as an all-in-one Etsy seller toolkit that helps you find and improve what you already have. If you’re weighing research-first tools, it’s worth seeing how PromptlessPress stacks up compared with Alura too.
PromptlessPress starts from zero. You pick a product type, pick a style, and PP generates print-ready designs, a complete Etsy-optimized listing (title, a complete description, relevant tags up to Etsy's limit), lifestyle mockups, an SEO score, an Etsy listing preview, and a download ZIP — in one click. The key difference: PP creates the product and the presentation around it, not just the copy or the mockups for a product you already made.
Is the 2-million-seller number real?
We checked. EHunt’s Trustpilot profile exists — unlike some of the tools we’ve checked here — but it’s unclaimed and carries only a handful of reviews, a thin sample for a tool claiming 2 million users worldwide. That doesn’t prove the number is wrong — plenty of real tools have far more users than public reviews, especially ones that spread mostly through Etsy-seller communities rather than review sites. What we can say is that it’s a self-reported figure we couldn’t independently corroborate from the review data available. It’s also why PromptlessPress doesn’t publish a user count of our own — our G2 profile sits at zero reviews because that’s the honest number, not because we haven’t tried to write a bigger one.
The gap in what they cover
EHunt’s AI tools work on top of a product you already made: they rewrite copy, suggest tags, clean up a photo’s background, and — its newest features — turn a product photo into mockups or a short video. None of that generates the original design or artwork. If you sell digital downloads on Etsy, you’d still need to design the product itself in something else before any of EHunt’s tools apply to it. That’s exactly the gap PP closes — one session produces the design and everything downstream of it.
Where EHunt is stronger
EHunt’s research depth is real and useful if you already have a shop: product, keyword, shop and ad research at a scale PP doesn’t attempt, plus browser extensions for checking sales data and exporting orders while you browse Etsy directly. If you have a back-catalog of existing listings that need SEO refreshing or competitor tracking on an ongoing basis, that’s a real strength — just make sure any rewrite lines up with how Etsy ranking actually works rather than chasing a tool's suggestion blindly.
Where PromptlessPress is stronger
For creating new digital products specifically, PP covers far more of the workflow in one place. A single generation gives you: a sellable digital-download design, a listing kit, mockup photos, an SEO score, an Etsy listing preview, and a ready-to-upload ZIP file. EHunt’s mockup and video tools are genuinely useful once you have a photo to feed them — but you'd still need to design the product, then upload it to EHunt, before those tools do anything. PP does all of that in one session.

Recommendation
For Etsy digital download sellers starting or growing a shop, PromptlessPress does significantly more per session — it creates your product, writes your listing, generates your mockups, and packages your ZIP. EHunt is worth considering as a complement once you have an established shop and want deeper keyword/competitor research or to batch-refresh a large back-catalog of existing listings. But if you’re creating new digital products, PP handles the full creative workflow that EHunt assumes you’ve already finished elsewhere.
